Today in class i worked on getting my application for UVA (University of Virginia) done so i could go to the movies with Fae tonight. Unfortunately i didn't get it done because I need to write responses to the questions they ask. So to bad.

I worked on College Applications today since I could get Finley or Aaroon to become unglued to that game.

Unfortunately I didn't work on our project in class today. I had told my boss man that I had finished a page for him but I actually didn't. Instead of working on the project i made his page in class. I was having loads of trouble on anchors but I finally got most of them working.

Moral of this story: Never lie to Boss Man

We have finally thought of a subject of our new website-- The Phoenix Suns. I've set up the background in fireworks already, but haven't yet made a file for the pages in which the background is applied. In Fireworks, I made a animation of a basketball bouncing. I plan to put this on every page without repetition.

Today in class I made screen shots for each website that my group has created. In fireworks I resized the images to inserted them in main website using Dreamweaver. I've linked them to the tow sub sites, so you can go view them :)

Today I contributed to the project by making links to the separate content pages. I helped Aaron to attempt to make the banner but didn't really get anywhere. I also watch Finley play games all day which was most enjoyable. I have a feeling that I will be doing all the work for this.

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?

Today in class I started working again on the CSS style sheet. I work through the headings,links, paragraph, ordered and unordered list. I haven't checked if the style sheet works or not but I am confidently that it will. During the next class I have to finish the rest of the style sheet and apply it to the HTML page. If it does indeed work the assignment will be completed and good to turn in!!!

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?

I started to demo of a CSS external style sheet today. Since I've never done this it was actually pretty cool. On the HTML page I did my usually coding and and on the CSS style sheet I listed all the properties that I wanted the coding to have which would be displayed when viewed on Internet Explorer. I haven't gotten the chance to view the project to see if it indeed does work yet since I haven't finished it.

In class today, I magically found out that my computer can read documents to me. The voice's name is Sam... I love him. LOL. Anywho, we couldn't figure out how to get it working so that is what I will have to find out tomorrow. It is a type of problem I guess. o_O

Oh yeah and I have to get that CSS packet done...

What problems did you encounter while developing your solution. How do you plan to overcome them?

In class today I set up an account with bravenet.com, a website hosting site. Everything was going pretty good until I tried to send the site my Project 1 through FTP. I apparently did everything right but it still would not work. I asked Nathalie how she did it because hers at least showed that her site was under construction. She didn't know why mine was not working but I did indeed do everything right.
Be prepared Ms. Petr, I'm going to bombard you with questions when you come back. o_O

P.S. I got the job with those people working on their website. I can't thank you enough, they're great.

What choices did you face in developing you solution, and how did you choose among them?

Today in class i had to choose which free website hosting sites to put in finish completing my chart. Some of the sites thta I went to didn't have enough information to complete the space for it in the chart. Nathalie and I worked together to find a three free website hosting site that had all the information that we needed to fill our the chart. Some sites wanted us to make an account with them to get imformation about them but in the end we found what we needed on other sites without having to creat an account.

Today in class I tried to complete the Website Hosting Worksheet. Everything was pretty easy until I got to Part 2--not that it was hard, I just didn't know how to create a table on Word Processor. So I was editing that for the most part of class. For tomorrow, I need to finish the assignment and turn it in.

P.S. Thanks alot for recommending me... I plan on taking up the job WOOT!!!

What problems did you encounter while developing you solution? How do you plan to overcome them? how sis you overcome them?

Them problems that i encountered today delt with the tables assignment. On the very last problem--Invitation to the Beach--I was having trouble with typing inside of the combined boxes. To me it looked like the boxes were stretching from the assigned measurement that I had set them at. Luckily in the end the tables adjusted itself back to its setting that I had set it at. I Next time I'll take a "chill pill" so I don't stress you out too :]

What problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome them?/How did you overcome them?

The problem I encountered today dealt with the "Table Assignment". I had problems with setting the table up. Of course this was because I wasn't listening in class when you taught us (really busy trying to finish "Project 1"). I asked Natalie and you to help me with my problem and it worked out great. I only have to finish two more tables!!!

Today in class I worked on Project 1 and progresses far. I was able to finish everything except the pictures. I will send myself an e-mail containing the pictures so I can finish the last bit tomorrow.

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?

Woot!!! I have conquered the assignment of More Tags... I AM THE (WO)MAN *does victory run*
Today I figured out what the problem was with my anchors I created. While writing the tag I had forgotten to put the in the id name. This of course caused the links to not work since I was not telling to browser where to exactly go.
After finishing correcting that I checked all my anchors. Two of them did not work so I did had to trouble shot through my code. The two that were not working had misspelled links. I corrected them and everything was as smooth as butter.

Today I worked on the "More Tags" worksheet that was handed out. Since I have already taken an Web Page Design class before it was pretty simple. The one thing that I can't get over is that all the tags make me dizzy and I cannot read straight. Anyways... I got to number 12 so I'm almost finished. Thanks for letting me turn in this blog late :]

Today I encountered a problem with setting up my anchors. The links won't work to go to the next page (or at least I think that is how it works). I'll have to look through the code and determine what is wrong with it. Anyway... I shall figure it out tomorrow because I sure do want to go home.
Sorry I didn't write that first blog that was due yesterday. I'll do that tonight... promise!
